ABOUT US

In 2004, Mike Brill, the former Head Coach of South Robeson High School and former NC/SC Coach of the Year, had a vision to create a youth football league that would start a feeder system to Lumberton Junior High and Lumberton Senior High School in North Carolina. In May of 2005, the Lumberton Football Association was formed to meet that goal. Now, in 2011, the Lumberton Football Association has grown to fifteen teams, consisting of 6-12-year olds from the Lumberton and Robeson County area.

Consisting of volunteer Board members and football enthusiasts, the Lumberton Football Association is a Not for Profit Corporation dedicated to the success of our youth not only in football, but in life. The Board members are coaches, teachers, and  businessmen and all have a great love for the game of football and the skills it can bring to our youth.

The LFA has partnered with the Lumberton Parks and Recreation Department to not only provide quality coaching in football skills, but help kids with school and other life skills that they may not have been exposed to before. Operation of the league thus far has been privately funded by businesses and citizens who have the same passion for football as we do. Please take notice of the Charter Sponsors.  These are the individuals and companies that provided the financial foundation for the Lumberton Football Association, while the Vision Sponsors provide generous support that enables the organization to continue to year after year.
