LFA HOME PAGE

Welcome to the Lumberton Football Association website. The 2011 season is fast approaching with our Opening Day Ceremonies and Picture Day happening on September 24th at Lumberton High School.  As always, we want to thank our parents, kids, volunteers, the City of Lumberton, the recreation department, Lumberton High School, its staff and Johnny’s Hot Dogs for all you do to make our league a great success.  We are pleased that the expansion to 5 teams per league last year was a success and will continue this year.  We need MORE COACHES! We know that it takes a great deal of time to be a volunteer. Our kids are worth the effort and this program works both on and off the field. We are still experiencing very difficult times on the economic front. We had hoped to do some things at all levels to improve our program. We will continue to try and raise funds throughout 2011 and at the same time still have a freeze in any new funding for programs and very conservative on existing programs. It is just a sign of the times. However, we are pleased to announce that there will be no new increases in fees to play. In the meantime, keep checking back here for more updates as the 2011 season gets closer.   We hope you have a safe and prosperous new year and we look forward to seeing you at Coach Brill’s Camp this summer!

2011 NEWS

As we move into our 7th season, all of the LFA games will be played on Tuesday nights. The A and B Leagues will play at Godwin Heights and the C League will play at the new Northeast Park. Also new is the Lumberton Football Association Quarterback Club.  This LFA sister organization is designed to help assist with fundraising efforts that support Lumberton Senior and Junior High Schools.  Lumberton football fans that are passionate about the school and/or the sport can contribute financial support at a more affordable level by joining the LFA Quarterback Club.  Membership fees for your first year are $125 and include an Izod shirt with the organization's embroidered logo, with the first 100 members having a special "Charter Member" designation.  Annual membership fees thereafter will be $100.  If you would like to find out more or become a member, please click here for the LFA Quarterback Club membership letter and application.
